POOV Screenings Gather Momentum!

Dear Friends of The Power of One Voice,

I am delighted to announce that The Power of One Voice now has five festival/conference acceptances!  Next week I will be attending the screening of POOV at the Woods Hole Film Festival, hosted on Cape Cod, MA (on July 29, 5pm). Carson is a bit of a local hero, and they recently built a beautiful statue to commemorate her connection to the place. Since most of you on this list live in Pittsburgh, I would be grateful if you would share this post with your friends in Massachusetts.

Here’s a list of our other major acceptances:
2015 American Conservation Film Festival
2015 American Conservation Film Festival NORTH
2015 Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education Conference
2015 Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences Conference

Pittsburgh’s own Green Building Alliance is also hosting a delightful POOV “Dinner and a Documentary” screening next week on July 30 at 5pm. I’ll be in Woods Hole, but the film’s Executive Producer and Rachel Carson expert, Patricia DeMarco, will be in attendance for Q&A and discussion. Details and ticket information can be found here.

You can stay up to date on all the POOV screenings by checking the film’s screening page here: http://powerofonevoicefilm.com/screenings/

That’s all for this update (except for the juicy post-scripts below). I hope you are enjoying your summer season, and I look forward to seeing you down the road!

All the best,
Mark Dixon

The Power of One Voice

P.S. Did you know that there is an original opera playing in Pittsburgh that examines the life and impact of Rachel Carson? Go watch it! Details about “A New Kind of Fallout” can be found here.

P.P.S. Have you liked our Facebook page yet? Please like us here and then invite your friends! We keep our Facebook page the most up-to-date on all POOV and related environmental information.

P.P.P.S. (I know, too many post-scripts…) POOV is now the number one ranked Google search result for “Rachel Carson Film.” Woohoo! But we are still way down the list for generic “Rachel Carson” searches (actually page 4). Can you put a link to our website(http://powerofonevoicefilm.com/) on your blog or web page? Every bit helps boost our rankings and then more people will learn about this film. Let me know when you do so I can thank you profusely!
